I run Trophy Husband Trivia. The games I host include trivia, standard bingo and rock n’ roll bingo. My goal when running these games is to always make it fun for the audience to play along!

About

I started THT in 2016 as a side hustle. At the time, I was a full-time touring stand-up comedian, something I did for over 20 years. These days I have given up the road and made hosting local events my full-time gig. Currently, I host trivia in the Des Moines area on Tuesdays at Joe’s Pub, trivia and rock n’ roll bingo on Wednesdays at Sully’s Irish Pub, trivia on Thursdays at Exile Brewing and standard bingo on Sundays at Smash Park. I love to entertain and always try to incorporate humor to make things interesting and fun.

Trivia

My standard trivia nights are 5 rounds and last about 2 hours. (I can always make it longer or shorter as needed) All of my trivia rounds are on PowerPoint slides, so I am able to display the questions and answers on a TV or projector screen as I read them aloud. When hosting trivia, I provide all answer sheets and pens. I also have my own sound system. Teams are usually set between 4-8 people.

Rock N Roll Bingo

My standard RNR bingo night is 2 hours, which usually entails about 8 rounds of bingo. (I can always make this longer or shorter as needed) Everyone gets their own bingo card and plays as individuals. I’ve got it broken up into different categories, including Classic Rock, 80’s Pop, 80’s Hairbands, 90’s Pop, 90’s Alternative Rock, 2000’s Pop, 2000’s Rock, One-Hit Wonders, Old School Hip-Hop, 90’s Country, TV Theme Songs and more. I have a playlist that goes with each category. The audience gets to hear about a minute of each song and is listening for the artist. Once they figure out who the artist is, they check their bingo card to see if they have it. If they have it, they mark it off on their card. First one to 5 in a row wins. RNR bingo is a crowd favorite! When hosting RNR bingo I provide all bingo cards and pens. I also have my own sound system.
